The Thunder players weren't the only ones choking slightly in the first round game. The coach had some off-key moments as well, namely taking guard Westbrook out of the game when he was scorching hot. Never take out a player on a streak. He's young. He can rest later.

As reported as early as October, and as recently as last week, the Thunder desperately needs some size inside. It can't rebound or score a lick inside against quality competition.

The Thunder should win twice against LA. That's because Laker guard Fisher couldn't guard a ref. Long a heroic figure for the Lakers, he has now lost three or four steps. Watch Westbrook spin him in circles next time.

LA has no chance to win the title. Cleveland is better.

On the local front, it is now time to seriously worry about the new WNBA team, the Tulsa Shocked.

There are some really tough teams in this league, squads comprised of all-star players who would as soon run over you as elbow you in the neck.

The local team should be able to run, which should come in handy when it's time to get to hustle to the dressing room. Scoring, that's up in the air. Come on league office, don't let 'em hurt us, we're doing you a favor.

I like the Cavs over the Lakers in the finals. However, I think the Lakers do have a chance at the title. They still have the same players last year, plus a now healthy Andrew Bynum. They can also beat you in different ways, both up-tempo and in a grind-it-out game. This is still a very good Lakers basketball team and Phil Jackson can still do a little bit of coaching.

Why do we have a WNBA team? The Drillers attendance will be similar to the Oakland A's in the 80's or Fair Meadows live racing in June. Nolan needs to get paid upfront with cash before the season starts. One and done...
