Bedlam is All About Blackmon

Oklahoma State would seem to have a great shot to win Bedlam and grab the Big 12 South title if Justin Blackmon is healthy.
Anything less than 100 percent and it would seem Oklahoma should be favored.
Blackmon is fantastic, perhaps the second most exciting offensive player in college football behind Cam Newton.
He is what took OSU from a winning team to a championship-level team.
Without him, OSU is good but far from great.
Blackmon is difference-maker, a guy that can get you six points at any instant.
Blackmon is the key to Bedlam. With him, OSU has a great chance at home to win. Without him, it will be a big struggle. OSU doesn't have any other receivers who can step up to that level.

So, Kendall Hunter is chopped liver?? You can say a lot of things about this OSU offense; but, one thing they are definitely not is a one-man-show.

Bad article man....Bad. You could also say that without Broyles, Oklahoma is a one trick pony this year also. If you bring up Kenny Stills, I will give you Bo Bowling.

We'll all see late Saturday Night when the dust has settled.

BTW, go ahead and let Oklahoma focus on just one guy.....Pokes will tear you up with our "other" options.

Seriously? Why? Has anyone seen Blackmon at 80%? 90%? How does anyone know how he would perform in those situations?

I'll tell you right now. Blackmon is NOT the key to this game. Kendall Hunter is. If Hunter can dominate the run game, it will open things up for Blackmon and the other receivers.

If the OSU run game is going strong, I guarantee an 80% Blackmon will still be extremely dangerous.

Actually this will be a very interesting situation for OU.

A player like Blackmon with the amount of talent and (more importantly) heart that he has is still probably pretty dang good at 90% or even 80%. So do you go ahead a double team him like you were before and open up chances for pass catchers like Cooper, Bowling, Moore and Randle who have ALL made huge plays this year? Or do you take the risk of just going man coverage and hope like heck that this is the ONE game that Blackmon doesn't step up big time like he has done all season?

Guess we'll find out Saturday.

Some things just aren't 100% vs 80% or 90% propositions. There either basically 90% - 100% or else so much less it's the basic equivalent of 0%. It will be interesting to see how it goes. It will also be interesting to see if Anyiam is able to do more than what he has in a while. OSU's other receivers have been stepping up too. Just have to go fight through as best possible.

Anyium has been a no-show all year. The other production will come from Cooper, Bowling and Harrison (and Randle on screens). Blackmon being healthy keeps the safeties back and Klein is right - if he's gimpy (or doesn't play) OU loads the box and limits the OSU running game and gladly gives up the occasional pass on the underneath routes. There is no other deep threat on this team.

What John is saying about about oSu's arsenal of receiving weapons less Blackmon, is what he said about Blackmon in the preseason.

Almost anyone else that was so badly mistaken about Blackmon and the rest of this oSu squad would be too embarrassed by their obvious blunder to so readily venture back into realm of prognostication as if they had garnered some kind of expert insight or as if their opine had gained some credence along the way.

Not John!

I believe OSU will be fine. They don't need Blackmon as much as Weeden or Hunter. Blackmon may be the most dynamic player on the team, but the other two play a more vital role.
