Big 12 opponents better beware of Oklahoma State. Not because the Cowboys have a high-caliber offense or a coach that will stand up for his team.
But there are consequences if you lose to the Cowboys. Ask Texas Tech and Nebraska.
OSU rallies to beat Tech late 49-45 and the Red Raiders dismissed defensive coordinator Lyle Sentenich the next day. OSU throttles Nebraska 45-14 for the worst Huskers home loss in almost half a century last Saturday and athletic director Steve Pederson receives the axe 48 hours later.
Texas A&M coach Dennis Franchione should feel fortunate the Cowboys could not hold a 17-point lead on the Aggies or his already hot seat would be broiling.
