Big 12 Power Rankings: Week 12
Published: 11/22/2011 9:09 AM

Through nearly an entire season, here's what we know:

Oklahoma State and Oklahoma are the best two teams in the league, but neither is perfect.

Kansas State is a great story, led by Bill Snyder. Texas A&M is a great disappointment, headed out to the SEC. And Texas hasn't gotten a lot better and won't until it gets better play at quarterback.

1. Oklahoma State
After a tough weekend, OSU still has plenty of motivation. A first Big 12 title and BCS bowl are out there, as is an outside shot to still play for the BCS title.

2. Oklahoma
This team was star-crossed from the beginning. My bet: The August 2011 Sooners would beat the November 2011 Sooners by at least two touchdowns.

3. Kansas State
How can you not love a team that wins despite gaining less than 125 yards of offense?

4. Baylor
For my money, RG3 is the most electrifying player in college football.

5. Missouri
Coach Gary Pinkel's problems don't keep Tigers from winning. And at least the university held Pinkel somewhat accountable.

6. Iowa State
Paul Rhoads is sneaking the Cyclones back to respectability.

7. Texas A&M
Winner of Thursday's Lone Star Showdown will keep bragging rights for a while.

8. Texas
Longhorns are hurting on offense and have no answer at quarterback.

9. Texas Tech
There was no quit this week. But there was no win either.

10. Kansas
Aggies take out season of frustration on Jayhawks. Missouri has the same chance this weekend.
