Bradford: Draft night 'was a blur'

Sam Bradford joined ESPN 101 in St Louis on the "Fast Lane" to share his thoughts on draft night and his ideas on playing in the NFL and for the Rams:

On the challenge that faces him in St Louis:
“To be honest, I haven’t really thought a lot about it. I’m just looking forward to the opportunity and looking forward to playing football again. I just can’t wait to get back up there, meet my teammates, and get back to work.”

On whether or not he has ever been a part of a losing team:
“I don’t think so. I don’t plan to be either.”

On the quarterback position being evaluated by wins and losses and the pressure that comes with that:
“Right. I think that’s one of the most telling stats about a quarterback is winning and losing. I know I’m gonna do everything I can to help this football team out. Like I said earlier, I’m just excited for the opportunity and we’ll just see what happens.”

On whether or not he has reached out to guys like Matthew Stafford, Mark Sanchez, or Matt Ryan for advice:
“To be honest, I have not. I think I’m gonna get in touch with Matt Ryan here pretty soon though just to kinda pick his brain and ask him some of the things he was able to do his first year in the NFL. What were his thoughts looking back? What he would change? What he liked about the things he did? What he would do different?

Why Matt Ryan?
"Um, because I have access to him and I can get his number. And he was very successful his rookie year. He’s gone through two years now so he’s a little bit more experienced, he’s seen some different things, and I just think he would be a good to ask some questions to.”

On whether or not he is scared about his rookie season:
“No. Not at all. Like I said earlier, I’m just extremely excited. I love playing football. It’s something that I’ve loved to do for a long time and this year I had the game taken away from me and I wasn’t able to play. I think going through what I went through this year made me realize how fortunate I was just to be on the field when I was healthy. I just look forward to getting back out there again and doing what I love to do.”

On the question that Dez Bryant received from the Dolphins and what the strangest question he received was:
“To be honest, I don’t know if I got any of those questions. To be honest, I don’t know how I would’ve responded if I heard a question about my mother like that. I think most of the questions with me were all football based. At the time of the combine, everyone wanted to know about my shoulder, so it seems like I spent more time than not answering questions about my shoulder than anything else.”

On what the moment was like with Roger Goodell when he was drafted and what they talked about:
“Yeah, that moment is an absolute blur. I have absolutely no idea what we talked about.”
