Broyles, Beal getting lots of preseason love

IRVING, Texas – Colleague Bill Haisten spent part of his Monday here at Big 12 Media Days asking players to name the best player in the conference. I hear Oklahoma wide receiver/punt return ace Ryan Broyles was a fairly popular answer.
Columbia (Mo.) Daily Tribune columnist Dave Matter seems to favor toward another Sooner who is scheduled to appear at Media Days tomorrow – defensive end Jeremy Beal. Matter calls Beal "the league's preeminent pass-rushing defensive lineman."
I bumped into Gerald McCoy last spring, and when the subject of the 2010 Sooners came up, he predicted enormous things from Beal.
