Call to Picker: Should coach Nolan Be Fired?

The fantastic new Picker graphic pretty much says it all.

When the Picker's image shines over the cityscape, we will be there to serve.

Somebody emailed this question: Should the Shock fire Nolan Richardson?

Lots of people seem to want coach Nolan fired. These are your basic anonymous weasels. When dealing with something serious, like a coach's future, put your name and phone number on the demand. See how smart you are then.

The question should be: Should coach Nolan dump the Shock?

Not he shouldn't be fired. He is charged with coaching some people who shouldn't be playing the game.

We could start for the Shock at the two guard spot.

ok then, they can fire the whole dam team!!!! pick, if the current cast shouldn't be playing the game then what else can you do but replace them all. if they shouldn't be playing the game, no amount of coaching from whoever may be the coach is going to help. god bless coach mike ditka!!! hey there is an idea!!

No, no, no, give Nolan a chance. He is only a year and a half into this project. The Shock had to be rebuilt from the ground up. This is the pro level and it takes time to become competitive.

Atticus Emeritus: Yeah those guys are right on top of it all right, Bayless hating everybody ever to step on the OU campus, those football Game Day clowns putting together the BCS title game before the season starts, Around the Horn, that one is like the bus from Cuckoo's Nest.

Here's a good question: Why did coach Nolan take that job in the first place?

He deserves a break for such tough duty and for what he did for TU.

PS: The slow guy who transferred from Arkansas couldn't guard a hill of beans.

During the TU Nolan years, I was away at college & then I moved to Denver, so I never got the opportunity to develop a man-crush on good ol' Nolan....

What I write is based on what I see & I see a 6-37 record & a coach who appears to be nodding off on the players bench....

If he's not interested, how can his team be interested ???? I've always been told that a team is a reflection of their coach.... So, if the coach is a fighter then his team will reflect that & even in defeat they won't stop fighting & if a coach don't care then his players won't care....

If you do not have the players to run the "40 minutes of hell" program that he preaches, at what point does Nolan finally change to a program that the current players can handle. A coach is supposed to take the talent he is given and make a success of the team. That does not mean that they will win every game, but they will become a team.
