Climbing back into Bedlam

Looking back on Oklahoma's 64-61 victory over Oklahoma State...
* Marcus Dove, who refused to give a millimeter down on the low post, defended Blake Griffin man-to-man better than anyone will all year. Think about this: Memphis, the No. 1 team in the nation, collapsed two or three defenders on the freshman, Nov. 15.
* As much as Obi Muonelo got off, David Godbold and Tony Crocker actually played him pretty tough. Muonelo was that good. If Sooner fans aren't buying it, consider the effect the Godbold/Crocker combo had on James Anderson, who went 2-of-8 against OU's defensive duo.
* The most unsung play of the night was Godbold's pressure on Byron Eaton's last-second desperate drive and shot.
* Taylor Griffin was as good in postgame as he was in scoring 20 points. Asked about being tackled by Martavius Adams, Griffin shrugged it off as "Bedlam" and said he relished the rough stuff.
* Sutton said the reason he benched Adams for the final 18:41 was Adams' ineffectiveness. Maybe, but somewhere in the back of Sutton's mind had to be Adams' goon moment. Major props to Sutton, if in fact that played a role in the benching.
* For the Sooners to win the rematch in Stillwater next month, Longar Longar must show up. He didn't Monday night.
* OSU could have taken advantage of that, if human foul Ibrahima Thomas hadn't taken himself out of the game.
* For all the Cowboys' problems, Eaton isn't one of them.
* Terrel Harris, who played foolishly and passively, is. My advice to Sean Sutton would be to cut the 27 minutes Harris played Monday night in half. At least.
* Prediction: OSU wins at Texas Tech, a one-man team, Saturday.
