The Coach of the year in the WNBA is.....coach Nolan formerly of the Shock!

Why?

He won a game with this team, stomping Washington like some bugs 77-59. And if winning a game with this crew wasn't enough, coach Nolan came right back and almost beat Seattle, losing only 82-77.

Well done.

In related Shock news, what's up with the super star from down under, not getting as many minutes or points as usual?

With the PGA due Thursday, here are some predictions.

Tiger, playing in what look like house shoes is 50-50 to make the cut.

Grinning Phil, the head pro at Stepford Country Club, will continue to be the worst short putter in the history of golf.

Dustin "Hacker" Johnson will flirt with out of bounds.

Steve Stricker, Mr. Greater Greensboro Open, will continue his lame play in the majors.

The winner will be a Euro.

Praise to OU beat writer John Hoover for continuing to write the best stuff about the Sooners to be found anywhere.

It's a sad comment when I, who have not played in a single WNBA game have almost as many wins as the Tulsa Shock.

And gee, Picker, the only question that should be asked about the Shock is how long until they fold or leave town.

And in golf, if Tiger makes the cut, the head honchos of the PGA will kiss him full on the lips...well, for the TV ratings he'll bring in...and nothing else!

Nolan created that Shock garbage in his image....

The Aussie girl is only 18 or 19 & she's hit the rookie wall that affects so many other ATHLETE's that play PROFESSIONAL sports....

BUT, PROFESSIONAL sports is not the TW's conglomoration of sportwriters hiding behind the facade of "The Picker" forte'....

So I can see why this column doesn't understand what the "super star from down under" is going through....
