Cowboy Questions And Answers

Three questions and answers regarding OSU's first-round Big 12 Tournament victory over Texas Tech:
1, What was the big factor in James Anderson's performance (18 points, eight rebounds) Thursday?
Anderson drove the ball often early in the season, then became primarily a 3-point shooter during Big 12 games. He got back to penetrating against Texas Tech and was 7-of-11 from the field with only two 3-point attempts.
Said Anderson, "They were rushing out at me with their hands up playing me for the 3, so I just drove to the hole and tried to get to the line or get an easy layup."
2, Why is Texas Tech so difficult to guard?
The Red Raiders shot a scorching 59.3 percent from the field in the second half, but still lost. Said Obi Muonelo, "They are well-coached. They all play unselfishly. They know their strengths as a team and they all move without the ball. They never stop moving and they set good screens. Basically, I just think they are well-coached and they are a tough team to play against."
Byron Eaton said the Cowboys got stops when they need them in the final minutes.
3, OSU likely has clinched some sort of postseason bid. But are they capable of going to "the" postseason tournament?
"I want to get to the (NCAA) tournament," Terrel Harris said. "I know we are putting our backs up against the wall by not winning as many conference games and everything, but we are here now, so we might as well push to win."
OSU must win three more games to capture a Big 12 Tournament title and secure an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. No one has ever won four games to capture the Big 12 Tournament crown. OSU and Missouri (twice) are the only schools to win three straight and lose in the championship game.
