Cowboys Make Their Own Luck

Yes, Oklahoma State got lucky to beat Stanford.
That’s what happens for great teams.
Sooner magic? Well, by any other name it is luck. Good fortune. Whatever you want to call it.
Either way, great teams make their own luck. You can rename it magic if you want.
However, every great team has some luck. You don’t win 12 of 13 games in a season without a few lucky bounces along the way. It is the same for every team.
So, give OSU some credit.
Yes, Stanford missed a field goal that would have won the game at the end of regulation. Then, the Cardinal missed another, opening the door wide for OSU to win it in the first overtime.
But, it was not luck that OSU went right down the field, scoring the apparent winning touchdown, before a ruling overturn forced a field goal attempt.
The Cowboys had to make their field goal. They had to make a play to put themselves in a position to win the game.
OSU had to make a lot of big plays to come back from a 14-0 deficit and to keep coming back from a deficit the entire game.
Cowboy magic? Whatever you want to call it is fine.
Considering OSU’s football history it is about time the football Gods finally smiled down upon the Cowboys.
