Cowboys Start Fast, Fading Faster

Even with the troubles on the road, Oklahoma State still looked to be a lock for the NCAA Tournament as recently as last week.
All OSU had to do was keep winning at home and maybe steal one or two on the road.
But with the loss to Missouri at home, the Cowboys are now not only on the bubble but quickly falling off of it.
There's no excuse for a team that has beaten Pitt and Syracuse on a neutral court to be fading so fast in the late season.
This is a team with talent and should not be falling off the edge this late in the year.
It is the job of Sean Sutton, in his first season, to prove OSU made the right decision by hiring him.
The Cowboys took a chance on Sutton although he had no head coaching experience.
He needs to pay back OSU's faith in him by resurrecting this team and getting it back in the tournament.
The Cowboys are good enough to be in the tournament and should be in it. OSU gives enough reourcers, facilities and fan support to men's basketball that it should expect to be in the NCAAs most years.
This will be a struggle to turn around a team that has taken a turn for the worse. But it is essential for Sutton to find the problem, fix it and get OSU where it appeared certain to go just weeks ago.
