Cut to the Beach

Over the weekend:

Weeden picked the wrong time to have a bad day. He didn't play like an all star. He played like he was in a parents' game. He didn't look like he was dropping back from center to pass. It looked like somebody yanked the chair out from under him. The lousy day probably cost him something like a full round in the draft.

At the Pro Bowl, they weren't chanting "Newwwwwwwwton," as Cam Newton threw passes that looked like paper airplanes.

They were boooooooing!

The laid-back islanders booed the pros from start to finish as the all-stars staged a game of touch football. This alleged all star game has partied itself into oblivion. All that's left is for a great quarterback to snap a bone in half trying to avoid a lineman moving at quarter speed.

Instead of the waste of time game, they should have skills competitions. What about the linemen? The can have weight lifting and eating contests.

Cutting to the spouses on the beach would be much better than the fake game. You know what marrying for millions brings out.

Watched Newton run for 5, then a smile.

Pick, I thought Brandon looked pretty good on the opening drive until Joe Adams fumbled and killed the drive. The offensive tackle from Georgia could not block anyone and caused some issues in the backfield, including stepping on Brandon's foot on the play when he threw the first interception.

The Pro Bowl has been a joke for years and am impressed that Danomite made it for 5 minutes. He must be a very patient person.
