They are the dynamic duo, the tag-team partners, the two men who keep me informed, entertained and even sometimes awake during Oklahoma State football games.

In their third season together, Dave Hunziker and John Holcomb have formed a solid pairing on OSU football radio broadcasts. Hunziker has been terrific in his seven years calling Cowboys football and basketball games. Just like he does on his nightly sportscasts at KOTV channel 6, Holcomb is smooth and has developed a great give-and-take rapport with Hunziker on the broadcasts.

I always have my vintage Sony Walkman headset radio (13 years and still ticking, much like Bill Haisten's old-school tape recorder) tuned into the OSU broadcast for home games. But unless it's for the Bedlam game in Norman, the Sony Walkman is useless for OSU road games.

But through magic of modern technology, I'm no longer tuned out of the Hunziker-Holcomb broadcast while in the press boxes of Georgia, Troy, Texas A&M, Nebraska and this Saturday at Baylor. For a nominal fee I pay to yahoo.com, I can get the OSU radio broadcast over the Internet. The internet feed is usually a play behind the live action I watch with my own two eyes. But it's worth it.

Now the play on field may not always be successful, but the play-by-play from Hunziker and analysis from Holcomb week in and week out is always a winner.

Matt, you don't have to pay the "nominal" fee. OSU has finally started offering the radio broadcast free on oksate dot com! It was a lot of fun earlier this year when the OSU-KSU gamve was re-broadcast on FSN with Dave's and John's coverage being used with the video.

Holcomb is OUTSTANDING. Hunzicker, however is HORRIBLE. He has a squeaky voice and that "pistols firing" schtick of his is incredibly lame. It's too bad because OSU has, until he came along, had some really solid guys calling the game. Bill Teegins was excellent and Tom Dirato was a great color guy. With all the $$$ that Boone is throwing around, you'd think we could do better than Hunzicker.
