What's left for Oklahoma to play for? A lot of folks asked that question after the Sooners' embarrassing setback at Texas Tech last Saturday. With Bedlam less than 24 hours away, here are some answers:
1. Pride
2. The nation's longest homefield winning streak
3. Bedlam bragging rights
4. The Sun Bowl
5. Boise State
That's right. The Little Football Team That Could, the smurf turf bandits who made off with the 2007 Fiesta Bowl at OU's everlasting expense, is/are squarely in the Sooners' corner tomorrow afternoon.
Provided the Broncos beat Nevada tonight and the Sooners topple OSU tomorrow, Boise is in terrific position to snag a BCS at-large berth and return to the Fiesta.
"It's funny how it's gone full-circle," former Broncos offensive lineman Pete Cavender told SI.com this week. "We find it ironic that our BCS hopes all lie in the hands of Oklahoma and Bob Stoops... We'll all be wearing crimson and white on Saturday."
