Don't Count Out Lovie, Bears

No one should underestimate the chances of the Chicago Bears because no one should count out Lovie Smith.
Smith, the former All-American and assistant coach at the University of Tulsa, may be the coach of the future in the NFL.
After several decades of highly-visible, volatile coaches at the top of the NFL, Smith is a low-key alternative.
He, along with Tony Dungy, Indianapolis coach and good friend, are the wave of the future.
These are guys that don't believe you have to yell and scream at players to get their attention.
They've both said this week that they believe you can get more out of players by treating them as adults.
They talk to their players like they would a business associate because…well, they are business associates.
These professional football players are adults playing a violent game.
Teaching and working with them may be the way to coach in the future.
The days of guys like Bill Parcells, ranting and raving on the sideline, may be in the past.
Smith is the ultimate professional. His celebration jump at the end of the NFC Championship Game is about the most emotion you'll ever see out of him.
For him, treating others as adults, with the respect they deserve, is the best way to reach someone.
That's why no one should count out the Bears. A calm, collected and cool Smith will rub off on his players.
Playing relaxed in the Super Bowl is always a key factor. The Bears will have that cool.
