Thursday night games are always nice because the readers can check in and see how the Picker did and comment before the weekend.

Much time and space has been devoted to an analysis of our upset picks this season. Point spreads aside, we can't recall having missed many outright college upsets.

For some wacky reason, some readers sit at home and cheer hard for the opposite sides of our weekly Upsets of the Millennium.

This week, in black and white, and in simple sentences that most can comprehend, we called for puny Rutgers to upset mighty South Florida by 4.

Rutgers won by 3.

The Picker and the staff regret the miscalculation.

Being number one in a poll is a reflection of performance to date. Period.

Only you could gripe about bearing witness to a perfect upset pick.

How big of an upset can it be when the spread was 2 1/2 points??
Most 9 year olds could have picked it.

You need to stick to picking something you know about...whatever it may be, it isn't football.
