Brennan Clay and Jonathan Miller are the running backs listed on the latest Oklahoma depth chart. Roy Finch is the OU running back on the preseason All-Big 12 team.
So what happened to Brandon Williams, the 5-star running back who enrolled early and went through the Sooners' spring practice? Nothing. He hasn't gone anywhere.
The Columbia (Mo.) Daily Tribune ranked Williams sixth among the Big 12's "top impact newcomers." The Orlando Sentinel named him one of "five freshmen to watch" in college football this year.
The Sentinel's analysis: "Williams won't be required to carry the load of the rushing duties for head coach Bob Stoops. However, a summer in the weight room could do wonder for his chances to see more carries this fall."
Sounds about right.
