Downward Spirals for RG3, OU

And that, ladies and gentlemen and children of all stages, is exactly what you get when you run a quarterback too much in the NFL: busted.

RG3 has become a media presentation, almost a media creation.

The zone read will revolutionize the pro game, better dip into the option ranks in college and get yourself one of those cute little quarterbacks who can cut and pitch it, blah, blah, blah. About the only zone running quarterbacks in the NFL are apt to see will be the Hospital Zone.

You can't run against 250-pound linebackers, juiced or not, or 230-pound safeties.

They will knock you out.

The only quarterbacks who have a chance to run in the NFL are like the Seattle fellow who runs mostly after pass plays break down.

The Seattle Super Bowl pick made ages ago looks a little better now doesn't it.

Was 4-0 against the point spread good enough in the pros last weekend people?

A mobile quarterback in the pros is good.

An option quarterback in the pros has had it.

In basketball news, TU won a game, scoring in the 40s. Last year's coach was fired for scoring in the 60s. The key is winning. Good for TU. All that matters is winning. That was a nice win at SMU. Win 41-40 for all we care. Just win.

Regarding the current media turn against OU. Who couldn't be critical after getting obliterated on national TV.

We've had questions for years.

When people get too obvious, it's time to look to the other side. But there's Mike Stoops coaching defense. Ouch.

" But there's Mike Stoops coaching defense. Ouch." Lol. He may be in charge of defense but he is not coaching it. Fire Mike and the dweeb that hired him.

They threw a parade after they booted him out of Arizona.

Stoops: "Our goal is to win the Big 12 Conference Championship every year."

Interpretation: "Since the Big 12 Championship is an attainable goal requiring a level of effort that we're comfortable with - we'll go with that. This way we aren't expected to compete with the big boys down in the SEC. Plus, we don't really have the recruiting skills or brain power or work ethic of someone like Nick Saban, so let's just focus on winning in our lowly conference and maybe the local media will still love us."

I believe that it more that Boren and Castiglione have told Stoops to cut out the cheating and get players without $$, cars, etc... Alabama (SEC)is notorious for it but the NCAA/ESPN let's it slide because of the $$$. Untill OU gets back to paying recruits, they will be average like everyone else!
