Dressing for success

Oklahoma State released images of its new uniforms today, another experiment in Nike decadence.

Really, though, the look -- at least based on the images -- is a very clean one. You can check them out yourself here: Uniform slideshow

Today's announcement was something of a missed opportunity for OSU. A grand unveiling complete with players modeling uniforms on a runway would have been pretty good publicity -- and might have knocked OU off the front page for a day anyway.

And for those who ask, "what's all the fuss?" The answer is: more than you might think.

I remember a conversation with a co-worker who knew a player that had traveled thousands of miles from home to play football. He was miserable and wanted to come home. Why hadn't he done it yet? The school was getting new uniforms, and they were "hot."

Uniform colors and styles may agitate some alumni and bore others, but for 18-year-old recruits the clothes really can make the man.

Count me in the "bored" column. Doesn't change the fact they'll lose at A&M and they'll lose at home against OU..... no matter the nifty uni's

I was impressed until learning it was a Nike design with a package of dress options. The real winner here is Nike. How about letting Nike pay the kids to wear them?

Why exactly is OSU automatically going to lose at A&M? They've beaten them three years in a row.

Also, Platinum I don't think OU fans have much room to talk. Dez may have had his pants too low but at least he bought them. That's more than DeMarcus Granger can say.

Do they teach theft at OU?
