Durant in Control of NBA Finals

The Oklahoma City Thunder became a monster in the NBA because Kevin Durant has become one of the best players in the world.
The Thunder are one victory closer to the NBA Championship because Durant may have become the best player on the planet on Tuesday night.
Durant outdueled LeBron James in the fourth quarter of a 105-94 victory over Miami at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.
One down. Three to go.
Durant was absolutely fabulous in the fourth period. He scored 19 points in the first three quarters. He finished with 36.
When it mattered most, on basketball’s biggest stage, Durant was the king. Not James.
James has been often criticized for shrinking at the end of big games. That’s not going away after Durant completely overwhelmed the Heat.
If this series comes down to Durant vs. James, as many believe, Durant has taken the lead and look unstoppable in the final 12 minutes.
That’s what superstars are supposed to do.
The hotter the spotlight, the more they shine.
Durant did that on Tuesday night. James did not.
As a result, Oklahoma city is up 1-0 and looks poised to make it 2-0 on Thursday.
