ESPN Stinks It Up
Published: 7/9/2010 1:07 PM
Last Modified: 7/9/2010 1:14 PM

Just when you think ESPN can't get any dopier with its cockeyed analysis usually made by failed coaches, any farther off with its incorrect picks, or any more embarrassing with its misplaced self-congratulatory nature, along comes a heaping helping of garbage like "The Decision."

This hour-plus presentation of parody material made stuff like Jerry Springer seem solid by comparison.

LeBron taking his talents to South Beach? What talents, dancing talents? The basketball team is the Miami Heat, not South Beach.

LeBron's people went to ESPN with a blueprint for the "Special" and asked that Jim Gray do the interview.

ESPN believed that James decided that morning to go to South Beach? That panel couldn't interview ET.

At least Stuart Scott didn't faint at the sight of the one he kept calling the king.

ESPN is an unfortunate monopoly.

What it does best is aim cameras at games.

ESPN has gone from reporting on sports to trying to make and guide the news on sports. They are, indeed a joke. I'm from Cleveland. LeBron WHO? The letter from the Cavs owner says it all. Burn, baby, burn those jerseys.

Which is worse.....ESPN putting on the show or the millions of idiots tht sat there and watched it!?!? If idiots do not watch it, the show never happens!

You're a better man than I, Gunga Pick. I understand why you had to watch it. I just could not go there.

In a championship-caliber redundancy, Dan Gilbert referred to a professional athlete as narcissistic. Object lesson in operating a keyboard under the influence.

Mr. Picker, please tell us you really didn't watch that stuff?

Kevin Durant is class. LeBron James is, remove the cl fom class.

ESPN is such a pathetic joke that they must be failing miserably at what counts the most: making money. Err, wait. I'm determined there is a pattern in the Picker's columns: bitter rants against those that are more successful than he is. The problem is that it's hard to find someone in sports that is less successful than a no-talent hack writing for a mediocre newspaper in a bottom-tier market. Even the clowns on the Sports Animal that he likes to rail against so much likely earn three times as much as he does.

mgsooner,

You are most likely the biggest idiot that has ever placed a comment on this board, and that is a very tough feat to accomplish!

MG, have you ever heard of Chevy Chase's hit movie "Funny Farm"? Maybe you've heard of the movie "Quick Change" starring Bill Murray and Geena Davis? Perhaps you know of the movie "Let it Ride" starring Richard Dreyfuss and Terri Garr?

Guess what clown...the Picker wrote all of those movies! Those three movies combined grossed over $55 million dollars...the picker could wipe his backside with your paycheck and not bat an eye.

I'm not a cheerleader for the picker, I just don't like stupid people who make stupid comments! MG, you have been ripped enough for one day, as long as you don't say anything else to embarrass yourself, nobody else will embarrass you! Have a good night sir!

And the picker played baseball for mgsooner's beloved team!! I find that very amusing....

I see that the Picker jock sniffers are again out in full force. Tell me, how does it feel to be a lackey for a bush league anonymous blog writer for a crappy small market newspaper? It's definitely something you can tell your grandkids about. "I was 'friends' with the Tulsa World picker!" lol

Don't ever argue with an idiot because those observing from a distance can't tell which one is the idiot....
hootie (3 years ago)
mgsooner - you are constantly reading the "bush league anonymous blog writer" posts. What does that say about you?
mgsooner (3 years ago)
Comic relief, hootie. The Picker's bitter little columns and his lackeys' illiterate responses are always good for a laugh to start the day.

mgsooner,

I'm merely pointing out what a complete and certifiable moron you are. However, it is very obvious that you are capable of displaying your idiocy all by yourself...your parents must be proud, now go downstairs from your room and thank them for housing you!

Out Pick The Picker

The Picker began entertaining – and infuriating – sports fans in 1993. Each week during football season, he writes about his picks of college and NFL games in his Thursday Sports column. He's never afraid of sharing his opinions about the game and the personalities who play it. Readers have a chance to go against him each season in the Outpick the Picker contest. He welcomes the competition.
