Euro-Punks Live and Breathe Ryder Cup

Aren't these Euro Ryder Cup specialists special.

They come to America from England and Spain and other out of the way places and go to our colleges and universities and learn and refine their golf games and compete for millions on the USA tour.

They have homes in this great land. Many marry American women.

And then when the Ryder Cup rolls around, they turn into twerps and brats and devote their entire beings toward humiliating the Americans. Jokers and chokers who couldn't win a major golf tournament with a five-shot head start turn into mini-monsters Ryder Cup week. Colin Montgomery is Mr. Ryder Cup. He couldn't win a major with the other competitors blindfolded. But there he was every Ryder Cup, giving the country that made his game news the raspberries.

The current Mr. Ryder Cup is Sergio who has won zero majors but lives for the funky Ryder Cup format that is more like miniature golf than the real thing, alternating shots, come on, that's what we do at the muni course after four beers.

A "team player" is one who chokes on his own.

Good thing real golf isn't a team sport.

Unless we stomp them into the ground this weekend.

I'd much rather watch football than whatever this format is. I enjoy most golf tournaments. But, this exhibition? No, thanks,
