We also mean fore.

Let's talk a little golf. Wait, people, come back, it'll be fun.

First, a moment of quiet hope -- for reasonably cool weather for the PGA in August at Southern Hills.

Imagine 110 degrees and 99 humidity, wind zero. The fairways will be strewn with stretchers.

Question: What is the public's fascination with the head pro at Stepford Country Club, Smiley Mickelson? Phil doesn't remind us of Mr. Average golf fan. Getting back to the foe angle, maybe it's simply an anti-Tiger sentiment, get in the hole, anybody's golf ball but Tiger's.

We watched the tournament over the weekend and saw this many black spectators.

One.

Phil is the great white dope..eerrr i mean hope. Problem is, he's as big a choker as Noshotski.

Mr. Picker, thank you for bringing up the subject of Golf; every athlete's favorite recreation. I was afraid you were so hung up on the demise of OU Baseball that you wouldn't have time for other sports.

May I suggest that during the PGA that you watch the event in air-conditioned comfort and leave the course to the visitors to our fair city. The heat index will give them plenty to talk about when they go back home.

I think Phil is the new Arnie and that is the reason for his hugh following. We spend more time talking about a collapse in golf than we do talking about wire-to-wire. In that respect, give us a list of the PGA members who wouldn't trade places with him in a New York second. That list might be even shorter than the list of Sooners who share your concern about OU baseball.

Oh OU homer Gene, anything to take the attention off of the gooners baseball demise!

Hey Gene, tell me who you like in the Preakness so I can call Animal Aid.

Mr. Picker, some yokels and crass characters seem to like Circular Quay. I think the lay off to the last race was too long but do not expect a bounce. Curlin needs to go back to Oaklawn.

I like the first two at Churchill Downs to repeat and I am going ot put them in a wheel over Xchanger, Flying First Class and C.P. West. The trainers for those three are too sly to not have a surprise in mind.

Good luck tomorrow.
