Attending Friday's football scrimmage at Boone Pickens Stadium were three members of Oklahoma State's 2009 recruiting class – quarterback Clint Chelf of Enid, linebacker Jordan Barnes of Ft. Wayne, Ind., and fullback-defensive end David Paulsen of Marietta, Ga.
Making unofficial visits to the OSU campus, and also attending the scrimmage, were five recruits who currently are juniors – linebacker Caleb Lavey (Celina, Texas), linebacker Mitchell Osborne (Southlake Carroll, Texas), tight end Cody Nall (Ardmore), wide receiver Floyd Chism (Daingerfield, Texas) and defensive back-return specialist Brandon Speth (League City, Texas).
The highly regarded Lavey is being recruited by OSU, Michigan, Baylor, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Texas Tech. On Saturday, he is expected to attend OU's spring game in Norman.
On Friday, Lavey was clad in an Oklahoma State sweatshirt.
