Football's First

Here are some observations about the season's first night.

Baylor looks like a darn good high school football team. Not a great high school football. But a decent one. It runs some Mickey Mouse high school veer-type offense that puts a wishbone-type quarterback at risk on every play. But Baylor doesn't draw as well as a good high school football team. Big 12 fans need to begin a campaign to keep this team in the conference, to keep it from folding.

Spurrier is the most overrated coach around. The passing game has of all things passed him by. Seeing some old guy throw tantrums on the sidelines got old 15 years ago. He needs to go coach golf. Note for future reference: S. Carolina is no good.

Bad score for TU's conference. Whatever Buffalo is beat UTEP approximately 88-2.

Havent been able to sleep all week....no matter what I do to try and drown it out it seems to grow louder....it started quiet towards the end of July....as July turned to August it grew from a whisper to a buzz.....Tradition built from years of success keep it growing louder.....lounder.....championship after championship make it impossible to ignore...tomorrow night at 6:00 it will become clear what the sound is...all of a sudden it will grow into a roar and it is unmistakable....BOOMER!!!!!!!!!

Baylor looked best they ever have been. They were playing a seasoned, experienced team top 25 team. Art Briles one of best coaches in the country. OSU will replace Baylor as bottom feeder in the Big 12.

Bad for CUSA, Nosepicker?

Who cares if UTEP sucks (BTW, cheeser, score was 42-17 Buffalo).

Check it, East Carolina beat Virginia Tech.

The kids are alright in CUSA. Its just that your ball cap is on too tight.

Gus, you are an absolute moron.

Oklahoma teams could help Baylor if they would limit their recruiting in Texas--say to only 1/2 their squads. For the record, Baylor drew 30,600 and TU drew 19,600 in Birmingham. Baylor is good for Big 12--helps the other teams get to the magic number (6) of wins and improves the conference graduation stats.

The only reason Baylor is in the Big 12 is because of former TX gov. Ann Richards. It should have been either Houston or TCU in the Big 12. Either one of those schools would have given the Big 12 a major presence in a huge media market. Instead....we watch Baylor perform it's annual rite of futility. The Big 12 isn't the ACC. They aren't gonna rise up and win the Big 12 South one day. They're noncompetitive and I frankly wish the conference would replace them.

Houston in the Big 12? They still suck in C-USA, they will be worse than Baylor if they were in the Big 12.
