Ford Embraced OSU History

Travis Ford loved to play at Kentucky because of its incredible history and the fans that make Rupp Arena such a great place to play.
Those same reasons pulled him to Oklahoma State.
On Saturday, as his Cowboys prepared to play Pitt in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, Ford said it was those same factors that drew him to Stillwater.
There are national champiionship banners. Several former OSU coaches are legends of the collegiate sport.
And, Gallagher-Iba Arena is one of college basketball's best venues.
To be honest, Ford hasn't seen Gallagher-Iba at its best. His first season didn't get turned around until late.
However, he said he wanted to be at OSU because of the history, tradition, fan base and facilities.
He said those were the same factors that drew him to play at Kentucky.
If he continues to build on what he has done so far at OSU, Ford has a chance to become one of those legends in Stillwater, too.
And, it won't be long before he gets an ear full of just how loud Gallagher-Iba can get.

We can only hope GIA gets that loud again. I hope this run was just as much Ford as it has been Eaton. Holder still needs to lower student ticket prices though. No excuses for having the most expensive in the country.

Agreed, Arthur.
