From the home office in Norman/OKC, here's tonight's top 5

OK. Time for some fresh air. Tonight, I share the OU Coach Search Blog Daniel Holdge, the always-knowledgeable, ever-entertaining OKC sports anchor. He slapped a top 5 (“in no particular order”) on KOCO.com. Here we go…

* Buzz Williams

Holdge: “May be too expensive.”

Paper boy: I still think he ends up getting a fat raise from Marquette. Remember, these things never turn out like they’re supposed to.

* Tad Boyle

Holdge: “Basically called the Buffs his dream job when hired.”

Paper boy: Temporary insanity should not be held against him. I really like Boyle. Joe Castiglione has to offer him the job before a mid-major coach. Doesn’t he?

* Lon Kruger

Holdge: “Has an exciting style and would bring plenty of experience.”

Paper boy: Liked this guy a whole lot more before watching his Runnin’ Rebels trip all over themselves in the NCAA.

* Cuonzo Martin

Holdge: “Most people think he will be a big time coach for many years.”

Paper boy: A real possibility five years ago.

* Terry Evans

Holdge: “Problem here is a lack of Division I experience.”

Paper boy: Another problem: He’s honest. He says he really wants the job. The sad truth in this game is that guys who openly talk about jobs are the longest shots to get them.

Heard on PTI. larry Brown wants a job. Could be a good pick for OU for a few years.

Hope you didn't move your home office next to Channel 6's home office. I like local coverage.
