Give The Man An Oscar

In a post-PGA story, I wrote that Tiger Woods became the greatest victor ever on Tulsa soil in any sport, or something along those lines.
You can find plenty of opinion in there, but it sounded like something safe to say because Woods is on a short list of ultra-icons, along with Muhammad Ali (who never fought in Tulsa) and Michael Jordan (who lost a basketball game to the University of Tulsa while playing at North Carolina).
A reader called in with a great comment. The reader pointed out that basketball legend Oscar Robertson beat TU while playing college ball. I'm guessing Larry Bird did too, although I haven't done the research or asked our resident trivia genius, Barry Lewis, who could probably deliver the answer (and 50 other sports greats who were victorious on Tulsa soil) without so much as peeking at the archives.
Anybody else got examples of superstar athletes who emerged victorious in our city limits?

Lance Armstrong won a triathalon in Tulsa long ago.

I'm pretty sure Barry Sanders ran all over TU. No one is at Tiger's level though. He is by far the largest icon to play and win in T Town.

Larry Bird did beat TU here the year they played Magic in the finals. He made one of the best ball fakes I have ever seen and when the defender turned around, he popped and 20 foot jumper over the defender's head. It was great!

Didn't Pele play at Skelly for the NY Cosmos in late 70s?

I remember the night Larry Bird played in Tulsa-on the same night Mark Aguirre and the Depaul Blue Demons played ORU on the south side.
