This question was waiting for us this morning.

Q - Do you ever get tired of being right?

To be honest, it is something of a burden.

After you've been right eight or nine times, it's like Tiger teeing it up, winning is expected.

The above-logged question had to do with the OU womens' basketball team.

Scroll back -- you'll see that long, long ago we proclaimed that the female Sooners did not resemble a Final Four team.

Not long afterward, while all the radio and TV homers on the Sooner payroll were still preaching national championship, we moved Sherri Coale's team out of the top ten.

Now we're about drop the OU women from the top 20, the reason being: Slowness.

Know what causes turnovers? Much quicker foes.

You are 100% right on this one Mr. Picker. I began to doubt this was a final four team after Ohio St. manhandled them (again) earlier this season. Why are they playing the slow senior guards over the 5 foot dynamo from Red Rock? With that being said, I think dropping them out of the top 20 is a bit harsh. I'd probably put them around 10-12. The ACC is a beast again this year. Duke/North Carolina/Maryland. Are you kidding me?

On a humorous note, last year I applied for both men's & women's final 4 tickets. Struck out on the men's, but won a lottery for 2 tickets to the women's. Where will it be, I asked----Sunny Arizona? Fabulous Florida? Terrific Texas? What's that you say, the 2007 women's final four is in CLEVELAND?!?!?! Oh brother---anybody need two tickets?

Gosh, picker you sure are smart. I don't know if there's anybody in the Greater Tulsa area who knows more about sports than you do. I am going to Vegas and putting down $1000 that the Soonerettes won't make the final four. Thanks for making me such easy money, Picker.

What a cheesy ploy. It doesn't take a expert on style to recognize that the picker simply logged on under a pseudonym and wrote the entry by I_Bow_Down_to_Picker. Notice the deft and subtle humor, the broad brushstrokes of expressionism, the gentle hint of ironic counterpoint that only our mentor, the picker, is apt to employ...

The praise was simply from an intelligent reader.

Our dropping the OU women from the top 20 was done well before Sherri Coale's team was dusted by an average Texas squad.

Despite what the usual homers shooting their mouths off out of OKC say, this team lacks vertical and horizontal skills.

By the way, one of those embarrassing characters on the radio suggested OU's men might make an NCAA tournament run!

As what, concession workers?

The posting was intended as a good-natured rib...simply a tool to keep the picker's ego in check. And oh, by the way, anyone suggesting that this installment of Capel's Sooners will overachieve in the NCAA tournament (if, indeed, they make it...) is insane.

Capel is doing a good job, but the big dance? Give me a break! Step away from the kool-aid Sooner lovers!

Does anybody know why ORU seems to lack something like a mean streat, guts, heart or soul?
