Gundy Had No Choice

Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy had no choice but to suspend star receiver Justin Blackmon for one game.
It is not easy to suspend any player but especially the most dynamic player on your team.
Blackmon is the nation's top receiver for good reason. He can beat any defender to the ball and is a threat every time he's on the field for a snap.
So, playing at Kansas State without Blackmon is a hindrance. OSU is simply not as good without Blackmon.
Others, probably Kendall Hunter, will need a big game to make up for Blackmon's absence.
Blackmon gave Gundy no choice. Being out at 3:45 a.m. on a game week, or any week, is not a good thing. Going 90 in a 60 zone is not a good thing.
Gundy had to do something. As a result, Gundy is putting at risk what has been a surprising season to this point.

Another thing I admire about Coach Gundy is that he stresses that there is more to life than college football. He says it nearly every week and his actions back his words.
