Harrington Victory Sets Wide-Open PGA in Tulsa

Padraig Harrington won the British Open on Sunday becoming the fourth different winner in the last four golf majors.
It should help set-up a wild, wide-open scramble for the final major of the season when the PGA Championship is played at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa.
Sure, Woods will be the favorite. He's the favorite anytime he puts his name on the entry list.
But this will be far different than the 2001 U.S. Open at Southern Hills.
Woods was almost even-money with Las Vegas oddsmakers when he got to Tulsa in the summer of 2001.
Woods had won four straight majors and showed no signs of slowing down.
Woods is still among the players that would rate as a possible winner.
However, as the recent majors have shown, there are more and more players showing they are capable of winning a major.
Harrrington joined Angel Cabrera and Zach Johnson as first-time major winners this year.
The chances of a first-time major winner, like Retief Goosen at the 2001 U.S. Open in Tulsa, are pretty good.

A big name wins, not likely that fairly unknowns win all four majors.
