Has Stoops Lost Sense of Humor And Recruits?
Published: 12/7/2012 3:16 PM

The first tipoff of a bad moon rising is the loss of a sense of humor.

Of late, head coach Stoops has come across like Alabama's Saban, only without the big wins.

For the most part, recruiting stuff is junk -- grown adults hanging on each and every word of what could be a brat.

You think the Kansas State quarterback was near the top of any recruiting sheets?

But the occasional recruiting trend might be worth noting.

One service had OU's current recruiting class rated about 29th.

And this is indeed somewhat frightening: Among OU's top defensive line recruits are three juco guys, another guy from Chicago, and one from Miami!

Coach Stoops, Bob, come on, man, THINK TEXAS!

Without a bevy of top Texas recruits, will OU even be a top 15 team next year?

How can Stoops lose something he never had?

Pick: All those 4 and 5 star recruits from Texas that Mack Brown has signed the past five years has really made them the dominant team in the Big 12. I like 5 star players, not recruits--there's a difference.
Oh by the way, OU was co-champs in the Big 12 this year. Did you miss the trophy presentation after the TCU game?

The battle for Texas recruits will take place in the Cotton Bowl January 4th. Bob needs to win a big game.
