Have You Heard The One About The NBA?

It's a joke.

The NBA suspended two good Phoenix players for doing nothing.

It's against the rules to leave the bench.

So?

It's also against the rules to step in the lane early on a free throw.

Unless San Antonio suspends two of its best players next game, or unless the zebras foul out two Spurs in the first quarter, or unless SA forfeits, or unless Phoenix wins game six, the champ is a chump.

If you want to suspend somebody for nothing, suspend them for a half.

Picker, I remember reading a blog of yours not long ago along the lines that rules are rules. I think it had to do with the ncaa rules violations at ou with bomar? So this only applies to ou or does it apply to the nba, nfl, and everyone else also? wasn't robert horry suspended 2 games? Don't you think that will affect s.a. also? I know he's only 90 years old and has been around forever, yet he is still effective and a threat from the 3. My opinion is after seeing the tape that Pheonix's players were on their way to a fight and not mearly seeing about their downed leader. If players in the past have been suspended for leaving the bench in simular incidents, then they need to be consistent and not worry who it is or if its in the middle of the playoffs, rules are rules.

Isn't it funny how a typical sooner fan, kinda like mikey here, can turn anything into a " The world is always against us gooners" sob story!!

I am fairly certain that since the league instituted the "rule," that there has not been a bench clearing brawl involving both teams. Seems as though the rule has been working. If emotions get the best of a player and they raise up and leave the bench...tough.

"lights out, old man"

"Sorry. 11:30. lights out."

---"I'm in the middle of a sentence"

"Have to finish it up in the morning, them's the rules."

sorry to offend you benny. typical sooner fan? no. but a fan none the less. I have a life that doesnt revolve around soonerville. do I think everyone is against the sooners? no. Just telling it like I read it. I do like reading after the picker. I think hes a good guy. you probably are to ben. chill

it is to bad that cooler heads couldnt prevail on the phoenix team. when you lose two of your best, that would hurt any team whether you have nash or not. phoenix is more talented, sa has more experience. smarter too.
