Visited the Oklahoma State football offices on Tuesday. Conducted my first real interview with new offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen.
Holgorsen sipped a sugar-free Red Bull as we talked. He says he can install the new passing offense -- the same offense that last season carried Houston to No. 1 national rankings in total offense, passing yards and scoring -- in three days.
Also stopped by the office of Bill Young, who is preparing for his second season as defensive coordinator. Young was on crutches, having recently undergone minor knee surgery. Last season, he was a miracle worker, lifting OSU to a national total-defense ranking of No. 31. A year earlier, the Cowboys were 93rd.
What could be the most comprehensive rebuilding project in school history begins on March 8, when OSU's spring-practice period begins. OSU's Pro Day -- during which Dez Bryant, Zac Robinson and other former Cowboys will work out for NFL scouts -- is scheduled for March 10.
