Homing Pidgeons

Seems there's a new homer in the huddle -- coach Pat Jones, who played at Arkansas, is predicting a Heisman for Hog runner McFadden, says McFadden is better than OU's Peterson, says Ark will contend for an SEC title.

When you go to work at the Sports Animal, do they make you check your objectivity at the door?

Coach Pat, come on, you ever hear of this requirement for major success: NEED QUARTERBACK!

While McFadden appears to have not fallen victim to a 'sophomore slump', he'll in all probability be subject to a 'junior jostle' as most SEC defenses will be keying on him, especially now that the Piggies have lost their star quarterback (and, presumably, most of their controversy with him). Is McFadden better than Peterson? Who knows? Who cares? Jones' silly, subjective comment does more to damage his credibility than it does to shed light on the argument at hand.
Who Else? (6 years ago)
If not McFadden, then who? One of those dudes from West Virginia?

Someone needs to tell Pat that if his thoughts/opinions/etc touch on anything Crimson and Cream they had better be positive. Otherwise they will be considered silly, dumb, uninformed, and generally not worth being heard.

Pat needs to be objective for anything Crimson and Cream. Only then will he have credibility to go along with his 20 years of coaching.

Great. Why don't you tell him that, Jones?

After reading Jones blog, one has to wonder if he is one of those die-hard ou fans that couldn't find norman on a map if you helped him!

On the contrary, I think Mr. Jones is an Aggie; he's obviously criticizing OU fans for criticizing Jones in what he perceives to be a clever, sarcastic fashion. The only indicator that he MIGHT be a Sooner fan is that the vast majority of his words are spelled correctly and his syntax is relatively sound.

We're not entirely convinced coach Nutt could coach our dog to a fire hydrant, unless as an underdog.....as pick, or in those rare times as a fave, Ark can look lost.

Our only point about McFadden is what's the rush? They pick MVP's too early, look at the NBA, the
MVP might not make it out of the first round, which is a joke. Let's see if McFadden is, say, back in school before crowning him hop king.

See above response about coach Pat.
