How Dumb Can They Get

What's more boring than college conference realignment talk?

Only the WNBA, where coach Nolan solidified his grip on Coach of the Year honors by having won one big fat game with this bunch. And where are the ones who wanted coach Nolan fired now? Under their seats. He'd have won the last game by 15.

The current conference realignment talk once again has OU going to the Pac How Many Ever Conference. Can you imagine the tennis team going to Oregon and Washington for a nice match? Neither can we.

Can't you see Russia from Washington?

Here's all college football needs: point spreads.

Concerning OU's strange multiple number one rankings: could some voters put OU number one because they might enjoy seeing the Sooners fail?

Less than 2 weeks to go before football is back....

Kendall Hunter is looking REALLY good in San Francisco, DeMarco Murray, the former banged up warhorse for OU is still banged up in big D.... Murray is supposed to start preseason workouts this week.... How long will it be before he's on the DL....

Keep banging on that Nolan drum & one day the Golden Hurricane will hire him back & TU will return to the glory days that fused Nolan to the gaggle of TW's sportwriters heart as a teflon basketball coaching icon of icons worthy of everlasting endearment....

Fear for the Cane' !!!!

OU should get some fun publicity from playing Letterman's school Ball State. Maybe he'll read last rites.

OU at Florida State looks like a toss-up, maybe even Fla State by 1 or 2, and should decide the regular season for your Sooners.

It's the same old Tony Turnover, he's fabulous short, disasterous long, as the noodle arm goes awry deep.

murray isn't the first guy to come out of ou to the pros banged up. tommy harris was never 100% during the time he was with the bears. i'd wager that murray never does quite lives up to the hype in dallas.

Pick, the Tulsa Shock stuff is dead? Okay, we get it...we ALL get it...

Basically, you don't think OU should be #1, fine.
You will probably pick the winner of LSU/Oregon to be #1, fine. If it's Oregon, they'll probably cruise since only Stanford looks to have a heartbeat. LSU has got a much tougher road.

But if OU goes undefeated they deserve to be in the BCS champ game, is that fair enough, Pick?

I understand 'blama and Oregon could also be undefeated as well, but given Oregon's overall schedule, wouldn't OU have a stronger case?

OU couldn't be Alabama using 12 guys on both sides of the ball.

Happy to have the Picker back. Most fun reading.

Out Pick The Picker

The Picker began entertaining – and infuriating – sports fans in 1993. Each week during football season, he writes about his picks of college and NFL games in his Thursday Sports column. He's never afraid of sharing his opinions about the game and the personalities who play it. Readers have a chance to go against him each season in the Outpick the Picker contest. He welcomes the competition.
