How much would you pay to watch Kevin Durant and LeBron James? With the Miami Heat coming to Oklahoma City on Thursday, I was interested in trying to get an idea on tickets prices and how much it might cost to get it into the game. If I found some tickets, I might even think about taking the short trip down the turnpike.
After about 10 minutes, I realized that's not going to happen.
As of Wednesday morning, there were 125 tickets available atStubHub. and the cheapest ticket I could find was $126, located in row P of section 324. If I wanted to take my wife and child (who loves Rumble and the cheerleaders), the cheapest it would cost would be $420 and that doesn’t include parking, food or anything inside the actual arena.
I found some other good (not cheap) options at NBATickets.com resale Marketplace. The cheapest tickets available ran about $100 and are in the 300 sections, but these tickets are sold by Thunder season ticket holders and are verified by Ticketmaster.
If you’ve got cash to splash around on Valentine’s Day, and your special someone would enjoy a trip to OKC to see the best two players in the NBA, I suggest you get the tickets priced at $1,300 ($2,600 for two). With these two tickets, available on Stub Hub, you get to enjoy an evening sitting two rows away from the floor in the all-you-can-eat section and get to watch all the action up close and personal in one of the biggest regular season games of the season.
The best option I found in my search was from TotallyTickets.com. They had two tickets available in Section 110, row R for a total of $578. Add in dinner, gas and maybe something nice from the Thunder shop, you’re looking at an evening for $700.
Maybe I'll just order some really fancy pizza and make some popcorn and watch the game from the comfort of my own home.
