TiVo, or the cable company equivalent, was made for women's basketball, 80 percent of which is like rugby. When the basketball goes under the basket, it looks like a shoe-sale rack at Filene's Department Store in Boston.
You can fast-forward to the high points and get through a game in about 15 minutes.
I thought I was seeing things as regards the OU game. Here's why: One of the best players in the country, post player Paris, was 10-15 from the field. And OU quit throwing the basketball to her! I can't recall one shot that she took in overtime! She should take 15 shots a half.
What happened?
Coaching, or a lack thereof.
Sherri Coale did one brilliant thing, she signed Stacey Dales. Since Dales stepped off the campus, it's hard to think of a single other thing the Sooners have done. Except fail to live up to their rankings.

Agreed.....Imagine what these Sooners could have done had they not averaged 20 turnovers a game. You HAVE to put a lot of that on the coach....I mean if i had that many turnovers a game I would walk my happy rear up the court...hold the ball until there is 5 seconds left on the shot clock and then dumb it to Paris...every single time. Its not like you are beating anyone up and down the court anyway so why the big hurry? I never see other teams turn the ball over like OU. You cant even blame it on the freshman and sophomores...they did it last year with 6 seniors. POOOOOR COACHING....if Sherri wasnt so dang hot Id really be calling for her head... that being said....Put on a short skirt and zoom in ESPN...woowee!!!

Eric...why not soak her t-shirt while you're at it? Picker, you receive a lot of criticism for your charming gift for personal relationships and for what you claim to be objective commentary, and generally, the criticism is spot on. But you do, occasionally, hit a nail on the head as you've done with this blog.

HEY PICK,
Why are you commenting on women's anything....it is what it is......now move on and get to real sports!
By the way, who is Sherri Coale?

World Picker, you are so one demensional, and predictable.
You blame all losses, regardless of which team is involved, on coaching. The fact that the winning team has much better athletes is also a factor.
But of course, the women's BB coaches do make more money than you do, so your envy is understandable.
You are a poor excuse for a journalist.
You should be required to identify yourself, but you are too much of a coward to do so.
To Alpha Dog: drinking cheap beer, yelling at your wife, playing fantasy football and watching tv are not real sports either.
