In recognition of OU's Gundy

It's Bedlam Week, meaning you'll hear a lot about the job Mike Gundy is doing with the Oklahoma State program, and rightly so.

Here, though, is a morsel on behalf of Mike's kid brother Cale, the guy who Dennis Dodd of CBSSports.com called the best running backs coach in the country last summer:

"The younger brother of Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy might be ready to move up. Why not?" Dodd wrote. "As a former Sooners quarterback, Gundy has done pretty well for himself. Entering his 10th year at OU, Gundy has coached a Heisman finalist (Adrian Peterson, 1,925 yards in 2004) and won a national championship in which undersized Quentin Griffin helped OU. Two years later, Griffin ran for 1,884 yards. The next sensations are sophomore DeMarco Murray, who ran for 764 yards and 13 touchdowns as a freshman, and junior Chris Brown (611 yards)."

This year, Murray has 929 yards and Brown has 890. You'll read more about them later in the week, courtesy of John Enterprise Hoover. I'll bet they credit their position coach for their production.

Offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson was asked about the 1-2 punch Sunday afternoon, and the first name out of his mouth wasn't Murray or Brown. It was Gundy.
