It's Almost Croquet Season

Is this the worst college basketball season in state history?

Odds on Tulsa reaching the NCAA tournament: 100,000 to 1, against.

Odds on Tulsa reaching the NIT: 6-5 against.

Odds on Tulsa winning two NIT games: 10-1 against.

Odds on ORU making the NCAA tournament: 2-1, for.

Odds on ORU winning a tourney game: 5-1 against.

Odds on ORU winning two tourney games: 10-1 against.

Odds on OU making the NCAA tournament: 15-1 against.

Odds on OU making the NIT: 5-1 for.

Odds on OU winning one NIT game: Even.

Odds on OU winning two NIT games: 10-1 against.

Odds on OSU reaching the NCAA tournament: Even.

Odds on OSU winning a tournament game: Even.

Odds on OSU winning two tournament games: 10-1 against.

Notes.

We don't subscribe to the theory that freshmen will automatically improve and be much better in two years.

Sometimes freshmen get worse.

You want somebody great, go sign somebody great.

Odds on TU making the NCAA should be much higher. Did you see the Memphis game??

Odds on TU winning NIT games should be dependent on where the games are played.

Odds on ORU winning a NCAA game should be much hire. They wasted their shot this year on KU during the regular season.

Odds on OU making the NCAA should be much higher. NOT GONNA HAPPEN FOLKS!

Odds on OSU making it the the Sweet 16 should be lower. I think they have about a 5-1 chance to make it. Sutton II just has to get used to his role in the tourney.

OSU having lower odds for Sweet 16? Did you see what Texas did to them?

While TU has a long way to go, there is something to be said for playing guys like Jerome Jordan who have clear upside but lack experience (Jordan didn't play basketball for the last year or two). I realize success is more likely where you sign someone with more experince, but TU isn't going to find many guys who are 6'11 that run the court like that. Even if he couldn't move like that, he'd be our best center. He's worth developing.

ORU just might squeeze into a 14 seed, which would give it a real shot at an upset.

ORU's team seems too nice, doesn't it.

They let 'em play in the NCAA tournament, so OSU's lack of depth shouldn't be as serious.

The TU-Memphis game was a real stinker.

Crowds are down because the team isn't winning, it's that simple.

OU women outdraw the men because the women are winning.

Let the women finish 12-12, there will be 750 people in there.

There is no guarantee the TU freshmen will become terrific.

A big-time scorer would help more than speeches.
