It's Official: I'm a Senior Citizen

Diamond Jack's Casino and Resort finally confirmed what I've known for three years.
I'm officially a senior citizen.
For the first time since I turned 50 in 2003, I got the senior citizen discount.
I've always heard about senior citizen discounts. I just had never enjoyed the benefits of senior citizen status.
On Tuesday morning, I walked up to the cashier at the breakfast buffet at the casino. The lady looked at me and asked if I was 50 or over. Yes, I answered.
She said I was eligible for the senior citizen discount of 50 percent off for breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets at the casino.
She sent me off to the casino rewards desk where I signed up for a players card, something I needed anyway since I planned on playing blackjack a few times here.
They gave me a "golden rewards" card. That's for us golden oldies over 50.
I guess I had never really thought about being a senior citizen. But now that I've seen the great side of age, the discounted breakfast, I plan on exploiting it to the max.
Surely I can go to the front of lines. I know movies are discounted. Perhaps there's discounted beers at the bar.
It is a whole new world and I plan to explore it.
Little did I know the media hotel was going to hold such a benefit for me and my newspaper.
The Tulsa World is saving $4 every morning when I eat breakfast at the Independence Bowl media hotel.
I'm getting the breakfast buffet for $3.35 each morning.
That may be the greatest bargain known to man.
Now, if some Boy Scout helps me across the street, that may be taking it too far.
