It's hard to eat strudel through a muzzle

New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush went to school near Hollywood, which should come in handy since he's the perfect guy to play Sgt. Schultz if someone ever shoots a "Hogan's Heroes" movie.
For those who don't know about "Hogan's Heroes," it was a comedic television show about a POW camp during World War II. The prisoners were always pulling shenanigans and a Nazi soldier -- that would be Schultz -- never wanted to be held accountable for anything he happened to see, so his pat response was "I see nothing!"
Bush, a former Heisman Trophy winner from USC, is taking the Sgt. Shultz approach in regard to a possible extra benefits violation while he was still in college. He's not talking to the NCAA and the NCAA can't make him talk.
Sure, Bush has done wonderful things to revitalize New Orleans, which was devastated by Hurricane Katrina, but he shouldn't get a free pass if he broke rules.
The football programs at Oklahoma and Oklahoma State took it on the chin from the NCAA back in the 80s. Heck, Tulsa once got whacked by the NCAA for having a track program that had more phantoms that a Scooby Doo Season 3 DVD. If USC cheated, the Trojans should have to take their medicine, too.
Meanwhile, I'm betting Reggie Bush loves strudel. It was Schultz' Achilles heel.

Just because Bush's parents lived in a mansion rent-free while Bush attended USC shouldn't reflect poorly on Bush or USC, should it?

How can Bush know about his folks' finances, after all, when he's all the way across town at school?

I'm sure the administrators at USC just figured the Bush family came into a nice windfall to afford the nice digs.

I'm sure nothing will happen to USC ... it's not like they're SMU or something.

USC is a too much of a revenue source for the Pac 10 and BCS. Don't expect to see much happen here.
