Jermaine Gresham

Oklahoma tight end Jermaine Gresham almost seems embarrassed by his celebrity.

A touchdown catch last week against Middle Tennessee may have kickstarted his legacy at OU. He caught a pass over the middle and just before crossing the goal line took a wicked hit from a Blue Raiders defensive back. But the DB crumpled to the ground while Gresham's path to the end zone was barely altered.

Ask the 6-foot-7, 250-pound freshman from Ardmore about the TD, and he'll smile shyly and look away.

But ask him about his grandma and he'll tell you all about the woman who raised not only him, but all his cousins, too, and did so by herself.

I spoke with him Tuesday after practice, and you can get to know Gresham better in Thursday's Tulsa World, as the player featured in this week's "Questions". He answers questions about his grandma, his favorite dish and the movies.

Here's a part of the conversation you'll only find on SportsExtra:

Q: If you could give a million dollars to charity, what charity would you choose?

A: I would give it to a children's charity. Any children's charity. I think when you're young, you should get the things that you need. Not necessarily the things you want, but every kid that's coming up should get every thing they need.
