Jets Lagged -- And So Did Other Coast-to-Coast Travelers

When trying to pick winners in NFL games this weekend, here's something to consider: Travel means more than you think and it is apparently more physically taxing than it should be.
Four NFL teams traveled from the east coast to the west coast, or vice versa, for games last weekend. The road team lost every game.
The Bucs beat the Seahawks. The Chargers lost to the Bills. The 49ers lost to the Giants. And the Raiders beat the Jets, holding Brett Favre without a touchdown pass even though he got to play the equivalent of five quarters.
This week, Oakland goes to Baltimore and Arizona goes to Carolina. The Cardinal trip is slightly less than coast-to-coast, but I'll take the home teams regardless.
Moral of this story? Travel would be great if not for the travel.
