Jones Signing a Win for Shock

There would appear to be no downside to the Tulsa Shock signing Marion Jones to a WNBA contractg this week.
The worst thing that could happen is that Jones no longer has the athletic skills to compete in the WNBA.
But, Jones has paid for her lying with prison time and being stripped of her Olympic gold medals.
There's no reason not to give her a second chance.
It may be a longshot that she is ever a legitimate player in the WNBA but what the Shock did, to sign her, seems worth the risk.
At a time of year when sports news is dominated by the upcoming NCAA basketball tournament, the Tulsa Shock and Jones made news in every major national sports media on Wednesday.
No matter how this turns out, the fact that the Tulsa Shock was in the national news is a positive.
And, who knows? Jones may turn out to be a positive for the shock.
