Why are so many professional athletes so mad?

They make all the money in the world, it can't be that.

Entertainers don't fly into rages after winning Academy Awards.

Yet pro athletes are apt to display acts of anger after hitting a homer, dunking a basketball, scoring a touchdown.

Where's the happiness?

Winning athletes often show more relief than joy.

When something goes wrong, duck.

The latest to throw a temper tantrum is Russell Westbrook of the Thunder. Leading by 25 points Thursday night, he screamed at a teammate, hit a chair, retired to the dressing room.

He tends to look mad even after doing something great.

Why?

If you can't take a complaint, stay out of the paint.

To coin a phrase.

The record shows that none of the real greats -- Magic, Michael, Bird, LeBron, Durant, Duncan, is mad all the time.

If you can't smile once in a while, why play?

you must watch the just the highlight zone and miss most of the games, Westbrook smiles quite often, so does your buddy Kendrick Perkins. I even see coach Brooks smiling too.
