MANHATTAN, Kan. – Just over an hour from kickoff at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. . . .
It appears OU wide receiver Manuel Johnson won't play. While the rest of the wideouts and backs are dressed and participating in pregame drills, Johnson is wearing his OU warm-up suit with his left arm in a sling. . . .
It's colder than weather reports predicted, currently 45 degrees. It's sunny, but it's much cooler in the shade, with a wind-chill index at 38. . . .
In the RV lot just north off the stadium, in front of a customized school bus (customized with a paint brush), a large man – maybe 350 pounds – was grilling a pregame meal while wearing a light blue dress with pigtails – Dorothy, get it? It was pretty hilarious, and a bit weird. . . .
