Kansas State's Winning Formula

Collin Klein will likely have to show up big for Kansas State to get past Oklahoma State and stay on course for a possible spot in the national championship game.
Klein has been the catalyst to Kansas State’s unbeaten season and climb to the No. 2 spot in the BCS standings.
Just like Oklahoma State did a year ago, when Bradon Weeden and Justin Blackmon starred, the Wildcats need their star to shine against the Cowboys.
A year ago, in perhaps the most entertaining of the entire college football season, No. 3 OSU beat No. 14 Kansas State, 52-45.
It was a game that put Weeden, who threw for 502 yards, clearly in the Heisman race. Blackmon had 13 catches for 205 yards and two touchdowns in that game.
That’s what Kansas State needs this week. Your stars have to shine on the big stage.
If so, the Wildcats will remain in the discussion for the national championship.
In recent weeks, Kansas State has hammered two top 15 teams - West Virginia (by 41) and Texas Tech (by 31).
The Wildcats have a victory at No. 12 Oklahoma.
However, Kansas State will have few chances the remainder of this season to impress poll voters.
Oklahoma State may be Kansas State’s final appearance against a nationally-significant opponent.
If so, the Wildcats need to be impressive this week.
“I don’t think about those things,” said Kansas State coach Bill Snyder.
That’s true. Snyder has been successful because his teams don’t get caught up in the hype. They don’t worry about what people are saying.
The Wildcats just play solid football with a minimum of mistakes. It has been a winning formula for Snyder’s 21 seasons as the coach at K-State.
It has been especially successful in Kansas State’s last 11 games. Since losing at Stillwater last year, Kansas State is 10-1 - the only loss in the Cotton Bowl to Arkansas.
A victory this week would push the Wildcats to the brink of what would be the school’s most historic football moment - a spot in the national championship game.

KSU had better just forget the NC game. If Notre Dame wins out they will play Alabama because that is what ESPN wants.
