Twenty similar horses running/swimming around Lake Louisville, this looks like a good time to throw some darts at the Form.

It is Derby 136 -- those numbers will probably be boxed at least a thousand times. It's a lottery on legs, the perfect time to play a name close to the same as your cat's.

The pick here is Super Saver, he ran second at Oaklawn and has a jockey who has taken a hundred of these mud baths at the Church.

Guess what kids, the reason the Thunder is popular is because it is winning! Win 30 next year, it'll look like an OU home hoop game. Some real doggy cities like Memphis and Sacramento have NBA teams and don't draw beans because of bad records.

Listen, be sure and save a few hours the evening of July 4 -- that will be the NBA finals, the START of the finals. True, there's nothing else on the tube. May as well make the finals the best of 13.

What a big score for OSU, landing one of the best runners in the country. Scout's honor, anyway, verbally. Wonder why a great runner would want to run a few billion draw plays prepping for the pros.

Pick, Sims picked OSU (and his coach thinks that is a very solid commitment, by the way) because he knows what you seem to stay in denial about:

OSU is NOT abandoning the run. Not only that but OSU figures to use RBs in multiple ways including catching a lot more out of the backfield.

A well versed running back who can do it all seems to be exactly what NFL scouts are looking for.

Dearest Picker,

Clearly you are keeping the proverbial poweder dry and on the shelf until July. Good idea, why tarnish your thought processes with the running of the dog food or perhaps following hydroplane crashes....?

Ain't worth. Catch some rays and enjoy a little down time please.

Picker, great pick on 9-1 horse Super Saver.

Buster, thank you very much for your superb manners.

When teams win, the fans come. When they don't, the fans won't show up.

Great Derby Pick.

The NBA Playoffs is too long. They should go back to five game series in the first round matchups.

I think the fans came to Thunder games last year too when they won 23 games...the Thunder could win the NBA title and the crotchety ole picker would find something to complain about. Jealousy is not an attractive trait. As stated before, enjoy the Shock!

Out Pick The Picker

The Picker began entertaining – and infuriating – sports fans in 1993. Each week during football season, he writes about his picks of college and NFL games in his Thursday Sports column. He's never afraid of sharing his opinions about the game and the personalities who play it. Readers have a chance to go against him each season in the Outpick the Picker contest. He welcomes the competition.
